Staff Structure
The unique structure of the UH System at Sugar Land is reflected in our staff, faculty, and administration.
Administrative and staff positions work for all four of the system universities and include the positions of director, assistant director, student services coordinator, program coordinator, office coordinator, administrative coordinator, librarian, senior library assistant, building services manager, maintenance mechanic, grounds supervisor, groundskeeper, security and safety technician, security officer, technical services manager, network administrator, user services specialist, telecom analyst, secretary, senior secretary, reception assistant, and help desk technician.

Security Officer

Position located in Sugar Land

Description: This part-time, non-benefits eligible position is open at UHSSL campus. Rate of pay is $9.88 an hour. Employee will work a maximum of 19.0 hours per week. Interviewing and training is onsite at UHSSL.
- Provide physical security for a university building
- Unlock front door and check all floors for unsecured doors
- Monitor entry into the building and maintain sign-in/out log
- Answer the telephone and greet visitors; provide information and directions
- Provide immediate contact with the university's police department in case of an emergency
- May accept parcel packages and deliver them to designated floors or staff
- May monitor and control entry into a gated parking lot
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements: Requires ability to read, write, add, subtract and follow oral and basic written instructions as might normally be acquired through 9 to 11 years of formal schooling. No experience is required. Must have a valid Texas Driver's License.
